Good morning!
We are minutes away from the December CPI report. I’ll be on Bloomberg TV to discuss inflation, the Fed and the macro outlook at 12:10 pm ET today. As I wrote last week, the December jobs report was full of good news. We expect the CPI report to provide more positive news on the rate at which inflation is falling back.
Tonight at 8pm ET I will be on The Mehdi Hassan Show. We will discuss the debt ceiling and the growing concern that some members of the House are not ruling out the possibility of a voluntary default on the US government’s debt.
And speaking of the debt ceiling, I’ll be doing a live event at Columbia Law School on January 23rd to discuss one possible solution to the problem. And yes, it is platinum. If you want to attend in person, in New York or Oregon, you must register at least 24 hours in advance. You can do it here. If you can’t attend live, but want to hear the conversation, you can watch the live stream.
Ok, here come the numbers!
