KEY NOTES FOR THE HOKIES
• Eliminating the Big Ten: Virginia Tech is 2-1-0 all-time against Indiana, having won the last two games against the Hoosiers in 2015 (2-1) and 2016 (3-0). The Hokies are 12-12-2 against current Big Ten schools, having won their last Big Ten matchup against Ohio State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament (3-1).
• Indiana: Indiana starts the 2022 campaign 0-0-1 after playing West Virginia on the road. The Mountaineers’ defense held the Hoosiers to one shot on goal in their season opener. Starting time, goaltender Jamie Gerstenberg has allowed one or fewer goals in just one of her last 17 games and tied a program record with nine shutouts as a freshman in 2021. • Virginia Tech: Hokies started the campaign with four goals in the season opener against William & Mary. Powell scored his second goal of the game with 10 minutes to play. First year student Taylor Price has quickly made his presence known on the team by scoring his first goal of the regular season. Price led the Hokies in preseason goals with two in the first exhibition game. Returning midfielder Emma Pelkowski scored the winning goal with a rebound into the net for his first goal of the season. porter Lauren Hargrove took over as goaltender with 9:00 left in the first, denying the Tribe any additional goals in the second half.

Fans are encouraged to park in Lot 1 (Coliseum West Lot) near Lane Stadium and Thompson Field, or Lot 2 (Stadium Lot) near Lane Stadium. However, fans parking in these public spaces between 7am and 10pm Monday to Friday will be required to pay to park using the university’s ParkMobile platform.
