Tech opens at Thompson Field against Indiana on Sunday

BLACKSBURG –Virginia Tech steps into Thompson Field for the first time this season on Sunday, August 21, hosting the Indiana Hoosiers at noon. Sunday’s game will be broadcast live on ACC Network Extra.

Eliminating the Big Ten: Virginia Tech is 2-1-0 all-time against Indiana, having won the last two games against the Hoosiers in 2015 (2-1) and 2016 (3-0). The Hokies are 12-12-2 against current Big Ten schools, having won their last Big Ten matchup against Ohio State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament (3-1).

Indiana: Indiana starts the 2022 campaign 0-0-1 after playing West Virginia on the road. The Mountaineers’ defense held the Hoosiers to one shot on goal in their season opener.
