Digital brokerage service Avenue Securities (Avenue) has selected trading technology solutions provider Sterling Trading Tech (Sterling) to support Brazilian investors trading in the US markets.
Based in the US, Avenue allows Brazilian retail investors to trade securities on US exchanges. The company has worked with more than 600,000 Brazilian investors since its inception in 2018.
Avenue will use Sterling’s trading platforms, order management system and a post-trade risk and margin system. The company will be able to integrate US equities into its fund infrastructure and plans to expand into options trading in the future.
Alexandre Artmann, COO of Avenue, says: “To unlock the full potential of the US market for Brazilian investors, we knew we had to find a fully integrated solution. Sterling’s cutting-edge technology and unparalleled reputation they attracted us to the company, and we are excited that this partnership will take our US equity offering to the next level.”
Andrew Actman, managing director of business development at Sterling, adds: We designed the Sterling ecosystem to cover the entire business lifecycle. We are pleased to help Avenue expand its business and offering to investors to fully participate in the US market.”
