Vernon’s Cornerstone Foundation kicks off two major giveaways on Friday

VERNON, CT — Friday marks opening day for the 2022 version of the Cornerstone Foundations annual Halloween costume shop. Cornerstone and the Knights of Columbus are also hosting a winter coat raffle on Friday.

The Halloween Shop will be open:

  • Friday, October 14, from 4 to 7 p.m
  • Saturday, October 15, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m
  • Thursday, October 20 from 4 to 7 p.m
  • Friday, October 21 from 4 to 6 p.m

Cornerstone is located at 1C Prospect Street in Vernon.

The Halloween Costume Shop allows kids to choose a free Halloween costume. There is no age
restrictions, but children must be present. For more information or to register or donate online, visit www.cornerstone-cares.org/soupfest.

Cornerstone and the Knights of Columbus invite community members to attend their annual Winter Coat Giveaway on October 14th from 4-7pm at 3 Prospect St. in Vernon.

The K of C has been collecting children’s winter coats for the event and there is a limited supply. Children must be present. For more information or to register or donate online, visit www.cornerstone-cares.org/soupfest.
