UPPER DARBY — Bread of Life Church in Upper Darby will host a free school backpack raffle/Community Fun Day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 20, at Sellers Park, State Road and Penarth Avenue.
During the day, the church will deliver, in order of arrival, nearly 400 school backpacks, full of school supplies, to children who attend the Community Day and are accompanied by a parent or guardian. In addition to the backpacks, there will also be bouncy houses for the kids to play inside, games, face painting, free food and live music.
This Free School Backpack Raffle/Community Fun Day is made possible by the generous donations of members of the Bread of Life Assembly of God Church, 110 South State Road, located two blocks from Sellers Park.
