OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The Open Door Mission has seen a surplus of donated items.
He held an additional “Super Duper Giveaway” for those in need Saturday outside the organization’s Timberlake Outreach Center.
“A lot of the things we’re giving away means they don’t have to use their income to pay, and they can actually pay rent, put gas in the car, pay for food, all these things that inflation is affecting everyone and so we’re very grateful to be able to do that today,” Candice Gregory, president of Open Door Mission.
Open Door Mission staff say ongoing renovations inside the Timberlake Outreach Center also lead to the special treat outside. There are three donation collection points.
