Intelligent scientist Sarah Obeng, a doctoral student at Columbia, is weeks away from following her married boyfriend to Ohio when her mother dies suddenly. His inheritance? A small but beloved Christian bookstore in the Pelham Parkway section of the Bronx, where she was raised in the Ghanaian immigrant community. Tasked with planning a culturally respectful and appropriate funeral for the family matriarch, Sarah must juggle the expectations of her loving but demanding family while navigating the reappearance of her estranged father while struggling with what to do with the bookstore With the help of a set of Eastern European neighbors found only in New York, feisty African aunts, and a no-nonsense ex-co-worker, Sarah faces her new responsibilities as she discovers how stay true to herself.
Queen of Glory is available on DVD and digital on November 15th.
