Air Force veteran receives new car as part of “Keys to Progress” sweepstakes.
Progressive hosted its 10th annual “Keys to Progress” car giveaway Thursday morning and gave the keys to Omaha Air Force veteran Peter Tiedemann. “A lot of people I know personally had a much harder time than I did,” Tiedemann said. “The recognition means a lot, just for someone to say ‘I saw what you went through, thank you.’ It means a lot to us.” Tiedemann’s transmission jumped on his last vehicle, which is when he decided to enter the car raffle. “How it all worked out, unbelievable, almost impossible,” Tiedemann said. Tiedemann served three and a half years in the Air Force, receiving an Air Force Achievement Medal for his service in the base’s honor guard.
