It is imperative that all families in need in the Inland Empire have a turkey to enjoy this upcoming Thanksgiving holiday.
That’s why Never Stop Grinding Impact partnered with Healthy Rialto to host the raffle at the already established Farmers Market, held every Wednesday from 10am to 2pm, rain or shine.
“We will be giving away 200 turkeys on a first-come, first-served basis and registration is required. We are also giving away laundry detergent, Hanes underwear for children under 14, and IEHP will be administering the COVID-19 and monkeypox vaccines,” he said. said Darrious Harris, founder and CEO of NSG Impact.
Another cool addition to this year’s raffle is that all registered attendees who live in San Bernardino County will receive $25 in Farmers Market Bucks.
“I want to make sure to clarify that anyone who lives outside of San Bernardino County can get a free turkey, but to get the $25 in free Farmers Market Bucks, you must live within San Bernardino County. Also , the registrant is required to bring a driver’s license or ID so we can verify the address, because there is only one turkey and $25 Farmers Market Bucks per household,” Harris continued.
More than a dozen vendors will be on site with fresh fruits, vegetables and other seasonal foods, which can be purchased with $25 Farmers Market Bucks sponsored by Kaiser Permanente.
“Farmers Market Bucks can be used at any vendor. They can buy freshly squeezed orange juice, raw honey, hummus, seasonal fruits and vegetables. It gives more options for people to buy fresh ingredients from local farmers. When you come to get a free turkey, you also get a chance to buy fresh ingredients and help farmers stay farmers,” said Barbara McGee, Rialto City Clerk.
“Thank you to our sponsors, Supervisor Joe Baca Jr., NSG Transportation, IEHP, Active Helping Hands Leadership Academy, Healthy Rialto and San Bernardino County Public Health. Thank you to Barbara McGee for partnering with Never Stop Grinding Impact and making the make our third annual turkey drive even more impactful. Remember, when we all work together, the community is positively impacted,” Harris concluded. To register for the turkey raffle, visit nsgimpact.eventbrite.com.
