Ka’Shaad’s Hurts Giveaway Held | news

The Ka’Shaad Hurts Memorial Scholarship Foundation held its annual back-to-school raffle on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at the home of Bj and Sam Benton.

In the absence of Commissioner John McGowan, who is the Sportsman of the Foundation, BJ Benton was in residence during the draw. The day began with a song by Mrs. Elnora Tetter, then a prayer was said for Samuel Benton. Ten names were drawn and ten $100.00 tickets were awarded to the blessed winner.

Parents and grandparents were encouraged to allow the child/children to spend their money on any items they wished to purchase for school.

After all ten names were drawn, hot dogs, chips, muffins, sodas and water were served. Everyone had a great time and are looking forward to participating in next year’s draw.

The following were the winners and participants of the draw.
