GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Thousands of people will have the chance to pick up free turkeys this week at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds.

Last year, the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office distributed more than 50 tons of food to more than 3,000 people.
This year, Sheriff Keybo Taylor says he expects to double those numbers.
“When you can really benefit the community in a different way, you know, giving back to the partner and then to the community. I wish I could tell you, I can’t explain it. But you know, it’s a really good feeling Taylor said.

Turkeys, hams, roasts and other grocery items will also be entered into the raffle.
The event takes place on Thursday, November 10th at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds from 12pm to 5pm.
