Gifts for students, military appreciation highlights Saturday football promotions

NATCHITOCHES — Besides seeing Northwestern State play for at least a share of the Southland Conference championship, there are several other reasons for NSU students to come to Turpin Stadium on Saturday.

Northwestern State students who attend the 1 p.m. game between the Demons and No. 5/7 UIW will be eligible to win one of five prizes presented by the NSU Athletics Department.

There’s a 50-inch 4K Roku Smart TV, a pair of Beats Solo Pro wireless headphones, three $100 VISA gift cards, and a semester’s worth of free books. The winners will be announced during the third quarter. To be eligible, NSU students must swipe their campus ID at Student Entrance. Winners must be present to claim their prize.

Saturday’s game also serves as Northwestern State’s annual Military Appreciation Day.

For every $5 donated, NSU will provide a free ticket for a military member. For those individuals or businesses who donate at least $500, they will be recognized with an in-game announcement over the stadium public address system.

To donate, text MILITARY2022 to 41444.

Visit www.NSUTickets.com or contact the Northwestern State Athletics Box Office at 318-357-4268 for more information and to purchase tickets.
