A local resident who was the winner of a $6,000 gift from an Aldergrove estate agent has recently finished renovating her home, and the mum-of-two was delighted after seeing the results.
In March of this year, Melissa Mercer received a $5,000 credit toward any renovation of her choice and a $1,000 gift card to End of the Roll Langley from Jodi Steeves and her “VIP” team. ‘
The money has helped the struggling family carry out some building and paving work at their Aldergrove home, which now has a new sliding glass door, front door and refurbished staircase.
There is still renovation work to be done, which Mercer would have to pay for out of pocket, but the family is grateful for the money that got them started.
“It’s absolutely amazing. They’ve gone above and beyond my budget to complete what I asked for,” he said.
Mercer, an employee of Inclusion Langley, lives in Aldergrove with her husband and two children, aged four and seven. She won the competition after her friend, Annie Smith, whom she met at her son’s school, nominated her for the award.
