easyJet has celebrated World Kindness Day by surprising passengers with free flights and holiday vouchers. The low-cost company filmed its draw with hidden cameras and even enlisted the help of a trained actor. Let’s take a closer look below.

The stunt involved an actor “dropping” his passport to see if other passengers would stop to help. If they chose to help, easyJet crew members would swoop in and reward the kind passenger with free flights and holiday vouchers.
Flights are “From: Anywhere – To: Anywhere” return tickets for two people and redeemable across easyJet’s vast network of 104 destinations in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.
Robert Birge, easyJet’s Chief Customer Officer, said:
“A warm welcome and great service are what our brilliant easyJet crew are famous for, so we were delighted to take the opportunity this World Kindness Day to surprise our fantastic customers as they progressed his journey with an extra special welcome from our crew, to celebrate his everyday acts of kindness.”
The draw, captured by a team equipped with hidden cameras, took place at Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LPL), which has more than 30 easyJet destinations, including Alicante, Barcelona, Nice, Paris and Venice .
Euan Hendry, easyJet’s Senior First Officer, added:
“We’re delighted to be able to spread some kindness to our fantastic customers in Liverpool for this year’s World Kindness Day and are proud to be part of our easyJet celebration to recognize and celebrate acts of kindness, to small as they are”.
The airline recently celebrated its 27th anniversary and first arrived at Liverpool John Lennon Airport 25 years ago. During this period, easyJet has flown more than 47 million passengers there from Liverpool and is credited with putting LPL on the map.
What is World Kindness Day?
World Kindness Day is a global celebration that takes place every November 13. According to easyJet, the celebration has been observed for more than 30 years around the world with a simple message at the top: “it’s easy to be kind”. One passenger, Philipa, was overwhelmed by her gift during a difficult time for her and her family.

Phillipa said:
“It was a wonderful surprise to receive an unexpected gift from easyJet for an act of kindness that comes naturally to me. It gave me even more pleasure as I was on my way home from visiting my father who was in ICU , so that was a real boost, and I’m so grateful. Being kind should never be hard; it should be within all of us.”
easyJet returning
The British LCC has launched a number of initiatives to be a responsible and caring company. First, the carrier “aims to be a good corporate citizen” by employing its staff on local contracts, in accordance with national laws and in cooperation with unions.

easyJet adds that a corporate partnership with UNICEF dating back to 2012 has raised more than £14m ($16.5m) for vulnerable children worldwide, while also working with a number of local charities in Europe .
