SUNRISE, Florida – Bally Sports Florida, home of the Florida Panthers network, announced it will celebrate former goaltender Roberto Luongo’s induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame with a miniature stick giveaway and a special episode of “Inside the Panthers” documenting his dedication.

Luongo, who played 11 seasons at Florida and is now the Panthers’ special adviser to the general manager, was inducted into the Hall of Fame on Monday night in Toronto.

The first 10,000 fans to enter FLA Live Arena for Thursday’s Panthers home game against the Dallas Stars will receive a miniature goalie stick, presented by Bally Sports Florida and Baptist Health. The posts highlight Luongo’s 489 career wins (fourth most among NHL goaltenders), his 1,044 games (second most) and his two Olympic gold medals playing for Team Canada (2010 and 2014).

Videos of the game in the arena and Thursday night’s broadcast will show Luongo’s enshrinement. Pre-game coverage begins at 6:30 pm on Bally Sports Florida, with the puck drop at 7 pm

Next, Bally Sports Florida will give fans a behind-the-scenes look at Luongo’s Hall of Fame induction and the festivities surrounding it with a new episode of “Inside the Panthers” premiering Saturday at approximately 7 p.m., following Florida’s 4 p.m. game against Calgary. Flames and post match coverage.

Steve Goldstein hosts the “Inside the Panthers” episode after traveling to Toronto to interview Luongo during Hall of Fame weekend. Our cameras also caught the special moments when Luongo received his Hall of Fame ring and blazer, and fans will see him back on the ice showing off his skills in a game of legends.

Saturday’s coverage begins with the “Panthers Live” pregame show at 3:30 p.m., and this game against the Flames will also feature the debut of the new Panthers Reverse Retro uniforms.
