Added life jacket giveaway for kids to Lynnwood Fire Camp on August 18

South County Fire and Safe Kids Snohomish County, in partnership with Seattle Children’s, will be giving away 100 life jackets for kids at the Lynnwood Kids Fire Camp on August 18th, starting at 6pm, at Lynndale Park, 18927 72nd Ave. W.

Accessories are required and the child must be present to receive a free life jacket. Kids, toddler and teen sizes will be available while supplies last. Families will also receive safety information for drowning prevention.

South County Fire’s free minicamp runs until 7 p.m. Kids can take part in a firefighter challenge obstacle course and race the fire engine. To participate, you must stop by during the camp hours (no registration required). All children must be accompanied by an adult.

For those unable to attend camp in person, South County Fire offers online fire camp activities for kids to do at home.

Visit the South County Fire website for more information: www.southsnofire.org/firecamp.
