- After parents have theorized violence has increased in Gwinnett County schools, 11Alive used data from the Gwinnett County School District (GCSD) to verify the claim. August 1 to October 31, 2021 was compared to the same time period in 2022. In 2022, the number of fights on campus increased by 32 percent and another 26 percent weapons have been found. Many parents believe the increase in violence is due to the district’s changed policy on how to discipline students. (11 Live)
- Gwinnett County has released its unofficial 2022 general election results. Democrat Raphael Warnock and Democrat Stacey Abrams had the highest votes in the county. - The The Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office is hosting its second annual Thanksgiving Raffle today, November 10, from noon to 5:00 pm at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds.. Sheriff Keybo Taylor said, “When you can really benefit the community in a different way, you know, back to the partner and then back to the community. I wish I could tell you I can’t explain it.
