  1. After parents have theorized violence has increased in Gwinnett County schools, 11Alive used data from the Gwinnett County School District (GCSD) to verify the claim. August 1 to October 31, 2021 was compared to the same time period in 2022. In 2022, the number of fights on campus increased by 32 percent and another 26 percent weapons have been found. Many parents believe the increase in violence is due to the district’s changed policy on how to discipline students. (11 Live)
