Xbox Game Pass is losing some of its best games incredibly early

Microsoft today revealed that some of the best games that are currently available through Xbox Game Pass will be leaving the subscription platform very soon. Before August ends, Game Pass will receive eight new titles in total, including Phoenix Rising Immortals, Coffee talki immortality, among others. Unfortunately, these new additions will likely be overshadowed by some massive titles that will soon be leaving the service.

At the end of this month, Xbox Game Pass will lose 10 games in total across its console, PC and cloud verticals. Many of these titles are ones that have been on the service for quite some time, and as such, it’s likely that some subscribers have already played them. Still, the quality of some of these games is what makes their impending releases a bit of a bummer.

Here’s the full list of titles being removed from Xbox Game Pass on August 31st:

  • dangerous elite (cloud and console)
  • Hades (cloud, console and desktop)
  • Myst (cloud, console and desktop)
  • NBA 2K22 (cloud and console)
  • Signs of the Sojourner (cloud, console and PC)
  • Spiritfarer (cloud, console and PC)
  • twelve minutes (cloud, console and PC)
  • Hospital of two points (cloud, console and desktop)
  • What’s left of Edith Finch (cloud, console and PC)
  • World War Z (cloud, console and desktop)

As you can see, a number of the games listed here coming out of Xbox Game Pass can be considered some of the most fun on the service. Hadesfor example, it was considered one of the best games of the year when it launched in 2020. Other titles such as What’s left of Edith Finch, Spiritfareri Hospital of two points they have also been critically acclaimed. Not to mention games with mainstream appeal like NBA 2K22 i World War Z are also underway.

While it’s become normal to expect games to be removed from Xbox Game Pass over time, this is likely to be the hardest removal list of all of 2022. However, if you’re upset to see that ‘remove any of these titles, it is worth insisting. that games have left Game Pass in the past only to return at a later date. As such, perhaps this could happen with some of these games in the future.

Are you sad to see any of these particular games leave Xbox Game Pass? And will you be trying to play any of these titles before they end up being retired at the end of the month? Let me know for yourself, either in the comments or hit me up on Twitter at @MooreMan12.
