The Aces and Sky will enter the 2022 WNBA Playoffs as the top two title favorites, but the road to the WNBA Finals will be full of challenges.

The Sun, Storm and Mystics won at least 22 games during the regular season and could provide tough tests for the Aces and Sky. It also wouldn’t be wise to completely write off an underdog like the Liberty, as they’ve won six of their last eight games and can catch fire quickly from 3-point range.

With so many stars and storylines on the line, there’s at least one certainty: basketball fans will have plenty of WNBA action to enjoy in the coming weeks.

How will the WNBA Playoffs work?

• Each of the top eight teams in the standings (regardless of conference) will earn a spot in the WNBA Playoffs.
• Each of those eight teams will play in a best-of-three first-round series. The larger teams will host Games 1 and 2.
• Each of the teams that advance to the semifinals will play a best-of-five series. The larger teams will host Games 1, 2 and 5.
• The WNBA Finals will also be a best-of-five series.
