The world’s largest video game publisher, THQ Nordic, announced on July 24 that Gamescom 2022 will take place in Cologne, Germany.
There are nine games on the game table:
Some of the games, like Destroy All Humans! 2 Reprobed, are remakes, and some, like SpellForce: Conquest of Eo and SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake, are sequels. Visitors to the conference will be able to play and experience the games for the first time before they are released to the public.
THQ Nordic was founded in 2011 as Nordic Games. In 2016, the company changed its name to THQ Nordic after its parent company, Embracer Group, bought the THQ logo. With 988 employees and over 150 million in revenue, this is the world’s leading video game publisher. The company hosts a Nordic Digital Showcase, where it presents its new titles. The last event happened this year on August 12.
Gamescom is the world’s largest gaming convention and had more than 370,000 guests during its tenth anniversary in 2018. Gamescom 2022 is the first in-person event in three years due to the coronavirus.
The event is not a private event, as we previously reported. Sony, Take-Two Interactive, Nintendo and Activision Blizzard will not be attending the event. However, more than 500 companies have signed up for Gamescom 2022 among the exhibitors: Samsung, AMD, Ubisoft and Xbox.
THQ Nordic is another big name on the list. It promises to offer visitors an unforgettable experience. THQ Nordic will be in Hall 8 Stand A10 B11. The publisher announced that its presentation was scheduled to be held at HandyGames from 11 to 4:30 on the day.
