The Batman Arkham subreddit has created a fake game called Batman: Arkham World, because there haven’t been any new entries in years. The Batman Arkham series is one of the most beloved video game franchises out there and is widely credited with being one of the first to truly capture the feeling of being a superhero. While there were also great superhero games before the Arkham franchise, none of them had a consistent franchise that also overcame the stigma of being part of a licensed IP. Unfortunately, Rocksteady concluded their Arkham trilogy in 2015 with Batman: Arkham Knight, and no new Batman games are being looked at yet. The fans were very worried. The Arkham universe will continue with Rocksteady’s upcoming Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. This could see the return of Batman, but nothing has been confirmed.
However, the lack of new Batman games after seven years has caused some fans to lose their money. The Batman Arkham subreddit started imagining a new game, called Batman: Arkham World. This led to fans creating wacky characters that are unidentifiable in the Batman world, plus Photoshopped fake trophy lists and more. The joke has gone so far, fans even create memes about Batman: Arkham World existing, creating a false reality. The weirdest thing about Reddit is, but definitely a fun thing. This gag has been running for weeks and shows no signs of stopping, at least until a new Batman game comes out.
For those who weren’t up to date, the Batman: Arkham gaming subreddit decided to make the game not a global name, and spent the last few weeks discussing it pic.twitter.com/TFAmRQOU7Y.

The game based on Batman: Arkham World was later teased by Rocksteady. Joker was awarded the best character award at VGA 2011. In the game, Joker wrote a script for the game Batman: Arkham World. This was probably just a way for Rocksteady to tease whether they would make another game in the series before they planned anything, but now it just got so real.
