PlayStation Plus subscribers are growing frustrated with the lack of retro games

Sony still offers its PlayStation Plus subscribers free game bundles every month, and for the most part, these deals have been pretty well received in July and August. July games included Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan, i arcadegeddon, for example, while the August games are Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2, i little nightmares. While all is well for PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers, those subscribed to the service’s Premium tier have been left wondering where all the retro and classic games are.

For those who didn’t care much for the new tiers when they were released in June, the PlayStation Plus Premium tier is meant to include a library of these classic games from the PlayStation 1, PlayStation 2, and PlayStation 3 eras, as well as some PlayStation Portable Games as well. It does indeed provide that, but given how many of these games were previously available through PlayStation Now before that service merged with PlayStation Plus, subscribers expected constant classic and retro additions every month.

July’s PlayStation Plus Premium additions include Echoshift, no heroes allowed!, i LocoRoco Midnight Carnival of the PlayStation Portable era, but the August games list did not include any titles exclusive to the Premium tier. After seeing just three classic games announced as new additions since the new tiers went live in June, PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers seem impatient.

Were the first day classics the big draw?

Retro games being released on ps plus on day 1 lol that was the biggest hype about ps premium. And that’s my point if it wasn’t for the classics of day 1 ps. No one would have cared about the service except for new console owners, then they would quickly retire after catching up.

Not seeing the point

Are we actually going to get more classic games or not? like i’m struggling to see the point of keeping a premium sub when i could drop more because the classic games and trials aren’t worth it.

It needs to be intensified

The bonus list is great, but you need to step up the premium section. The trials and classics section is abysmal. People will drop this level quickly if this is going to be your least priority when adding games.

It was supposed to be a big selling point

Sony pushed the PS Plus Premium tier SPECIFICALLY to play classic games. PS1. PS2. PS3.
This was supposed to be one of the big selling points.
Here we are almost 2 months into the service’s launch and the selection of “classic” games is woeful.

Playstation I’ve been paying for ps plus premium since it started and you guys haven’t added any retro titles which was the biggest selling point of premium and no trial of new games the other big selling point of premium, might as well get more from sony. increase it please
