“Now I feel good, after finishing the competition, I didn’t feel great because I didn’t throw as far as I wanted, but saying that I still have a medal around my neck that makes me feel a little better. ” says Troschke. “I’m one of the few people who’s lucky enough to have the opportunity to do two Canada Summer Games, this is my second, so I traded bronze for gold, which It was a very good feeling.”

Three more won gold medals for Alberta on the 14th: Grace Konrad (Edmonton) in the women’s 400m, Eric Lutz (Calgary) in the men’s 1,500m and Justin Rose (Edmonton) in the men’s 400m hurdles .

Alberta ranks four in the overall medal count behind Ontario (155), Quebec (115) and BC (98).
