LEXINGTON, Ky. — Brittany Cox has joined the award-winning economic development team at Touchstone Energy Cooperatives of Kentucky.
Cox previously served as a senior project manager for the Kentucky Office of Economic Development, working on new development and expansion projects, including Wieland’s $100 million copper recycling facility in Shelbyville and the mill of Pratt Paper’s $500 million recycled paper plant in Henderson, Ky.
“Brittany brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in recruiting, expanding and retaining businesses in Kentucky,” said Rodney Hitch, director of economic development. “He will be a valuable member of our team.”
“I look forward to helping the communities served by Kentucky’s Touchstone Energy Cooperatives attract new jobs and investment, as well as retain existing businesses,” Cox said.
Cox is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and has served as a mentor to students in the UK’s College of Communication and Information.
The 17 electric cooperatives that make up Kentucky Touchstone Energy Cooperatives work together to attract and retain jobs and investment for the communities they serve.
They were named among the top 20 elite utilities in economic development by Site Selection magazine and winners of the 2021 Projects with a Purpose Award from the Site Selection Guild. They are past winners of the Excellence in Economic Development awards from the Southern Economic Development Council and the National Association of Rural Economic Developers.
