The Fargo School Board votes to once again reinstate the Pledge of Allegiance

FARGO, ND (Valley News Live) – In an 8-1 vote, the School Board has reinstated the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance at the beginning of its board meetings. Many comments were made, most of which condemned the hateful messages sent by people who opposed the August 9 decision, but admitted that the controversy was not worth the distraction and damage it was causing. Almost all “yes” votes were justified because the decision was causing undue stress and harm to board members and their ability to do their jobs.

We’ll have more information about the meeting on Valley News Live at 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.
