Anthony Albanese has said the implications of Morrison’s multiple portfolios are “still being worked out”.
“We know that there is a legal question on the issue of resources”, he said.
“I’m looking for more tips on Scott Morrison’s use of these extraordinary powers and other examples.”
Albanese has asked the attorney general for advice, which should be ready next Monday.
He said Morrison’s colleagues “sat back and watched as power was centralized within the Morrison government”.
“They hammered out deals that had Scott Morrison as the sole member of a cabinet committee,” Albanese said.
“This is a sad indictment not just of Mr Morrison, but of all his cabinet colleagues.”
