Kahului heat breaks record 95 | News, Sports, Employment


The summer heat continued to scorch Kahului as temperatures reached 95 degrees on Tuesday, breaking the old record of 91 degrees set on the same day in 2016, according to the National Weather Service.

It’s the fifth time this month that Kahului has set a heat record. Temperatures reached 93 degrees on Aug. 5, 96 degrees on Aug. 6, 95 degrees on Aug. 7 and 93 degrees on Saturday, all new records, according to the weather service.
