CECIL TOWNSHIP, Pa. – An elderly woman died Tuesday morning after a house fire in Washington County, a Cecil Township fire chief told Channel 11 at the scene.
The 911 call about the house fire on Swihart Road in Cecil Township came in at 5:25 a.m.
The chief said when crews arrived, two houses were on fire, one in the front and one in the back. The house in the back was the one that caught fire first and then spread to the house in front.
An elderly woman who lived in the back house was found dead after the fire was put out, the chief told Channel 11. No one in the front house was injured.

Five fire companies responded to the fire and officials said there was a limited water supply in the area.
State firefighters are working to determine what caused the fire.
