Last night, a car pulled into CAPO, a local Mediterranean restaurant in Belmont. According to an email statement provided to Scot Scoop, the Belmont Police Department reported that someone at the restaurant suffered minor injuries and that there was moderate damage to the front of the restaurant.
“All of a sudden, the vehicle just shot (from what appeared to be a stop) into the restaurant,” said Amber Smith, a bystander.
According to Smith, after the crash, restaurant workers rushed to get the driver and his children safely out of the car. The police later arrived to assess the situation.
Belmont police said they don’t have much information about the crash. The owner of CAPO too declined to comment.
