Roach dominated throughout the episode, leading with $17,600 at the end of Double Jeopardy! Schneider was second with $7,400. Amodio followed with $3,600.

Schneider and Amodio were puzzled, but Roach answered correctly with einsteinium and europium. Roach didn’t bet and held to $17,600. Amodio didn’t bet and stayed at $3,600. Schneider bet $6,496 and finished third with $904.
“Alex Trebek always loved the Tournament of Champions, he loved having fun on ‘Jeopardy!’ and he loved great players like that,” Jennings said.
The semifinals begin Wednesday with Schneider facing off against Maureen O’Neil, an executive assistant from Cambridge, Mass., and Tyler Rhode, a startup director from New York, New York. Schneider will not compete daily due to the rotation of Amodio and Roach.
The tournament, which brings together the best players of 2022, was taped in September in Los Angeles.
