WATCH: 3 taken to hospital after roof collapses at Cummings School library, MFD says
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Three people were taken to the hospital after a roof collapsed at the Cummings K-8 option school in south Memphis on Monday.
Memphis Fire Department (MFD) officials said a tile roof of the library collapsed.
A librarian and two other workers were taken to hospital in non-critical condition.
Two other workers who were not inside the library at the time were injured, officials said.

Officials said an MFD unit went to Regional One after the incident.
According to MSCS board president Michelle Robinson-McKissack, students were evacuated and taken to Metropolitan Baptist Church, 767 Walker Ave.
No students were injured in the incident, which Memphis-Shelby County Schools described as a maintenance issue.
The school dismissed early Monday.

MSCS sent FOX13 the following statement:
Cummings K-8 will dismiss early today due to a maintenance issue. No students were injured. Student pickup will be at Metropolitan Baptist Church, 767 Walker Ave. Students will receive lunch. We will share more details as they become available.
Cummings students will attend school at LaRose Elementary for the remainder of this week. The address is 864 Willoughby.
Arrival time is 8:15. School is from 8:30am to 3:30pm
MSCS provides buses from Cummings to LaRose for arrival and dismissal, but the district said parents are encouraged to drop off directly at LaRose and would appreciate it.
The school opened in 1961 and has 38 classrooms, according to district records.
